Millenium Pond

This piece of land was leased to the village by Newby Hall Estate to mark the Millennium. It is located at the North end of the village at the end of Back Lane (behind the bench and litter bin).
A hard working team of volunteers have cleared the area, making it a peaceful place for residents to enjoy and nature watch. A timber walk way will be laid this summer
If you enjoy being outdoors and don't mind helping tackle the undergrowth or lay the path the Millennium Team will be pleased to hear from you.
Please contact the Parish Clerk at skeltonparishcouncil@outlook.com and they will forward your details.

We have a natural space that is currently given up to some allotments and natural area where we have planted trees and are leaving as meadow, hoping to attract birds and insects.
